Early this year Network Solutions tried a system that helped them get more income. When an URL that Network Solutions could not be found was typed they would intercept the 404 error and deliver thier advertising pages insted. This was challanged by some anti-spam companies and Network Solutions was forced to stop this practice.
A few weeks ago I noticed that Charter started to intercept 404 errors. Put in an URL that isn't registered and you get a Yahoo search, the links on the page are heavy on the sponsored advertisements. You will get 10 sponsored results followed by 5 regular search results. Try an URL with a string of words followed by .com or .tv and see what you get.
Naturaly, if you like link farms you might want to advertise on this system.

The anti-virus that came with my new PC was good for only 2 months.
