A guy living in Northwest Portland has website called reddingforum.com. Though, I have the distinct advantage of having started the site when I was living in Redding.
I loved having drinks at the Squire Room and Billy Bombays. Just make sure Frank gives you a clean glass when he makes your first drink.

I was thinking of ya bandit! LOL, you know we respect you as one of our own! Hmm, oh wait, and here I am a transplant myself. But no seriously, a day doesn't go by that I don't get a phone call from someone wanting "to verify" my address and info because they did me the favor of putting me on their website, of course a couple weeks later I get a bill from some internet company asking me to pay the $125.00 a month fee for the service! HAHA, apparently if you say "yes" anytime in the "recorded" phone message, it's supposedly a lawful binding admittance of pay, and of course I am lucky enough to have never said yes, but I pity the poor fools that fall for that!
TOAD!! Where ya been, I need some help at the deli! Come in tomorrow please! I will call you!

I get calls from India wanting to "partner" nearly everyday. Partner meaning they sell me crap SEO software and I resell my ability to use it. Or something. Tenacious, they are.

What works for me, I tell them "I just spoke to Sanjur Punjar and he says that you are a lying cheat". Very simple but very effective, for some reason they can't wait to get off the phone and call Sanjur!

By my own admission I made a mistake...Record Searchlight produced a "Best of the Northstate" mag a while back. I found it online to download, but when I stopped by they said that all issues have been sold out for a while now. Still if you want to download it you can find it at redding.com. Thanks for the help...

Hay! Fuegoman, Thanks for the post. Being somewhat new to the area, I am stumbling around looking at what Redding has. Your list will be a guide for this weekend. Yes, I have ate at BlackBear...maybe scoot over for a cup of coffee before looking for the ranch...
Speaking of food,,, I have ran across a site to rate your restaurants. Seems it list restaurants all over the world and if they are not on it, you can enter your cities restaurant and also rate it. Yes, several restaurants of Redding is on it... I look on it so that I can find restaurants that give good service since I have an eating disorder and have to ask for some thing not be put in my meal. Take a look at www.restaurant.com ... there are a lot of restaurants in the Redding area.
Rickiddie Rick.. smile from the heart and smile often.
