There was a bar or pub that I only knew as "Doc's off N. Market." I was never there in my life but an eldely fellow who worked for me years ago said "you can always find me at "Doc's off N. Market." Well, so far I can find no listing for this establishment so imagine it fell to progress or the realtors ax and is renamed.
Is this place known to anyone here?
Thank you

It apparently fell into disrepair about 7 or 8 years ago, I think. It wasn't here when I moved here 5 years ago, but I do remember going there when I visited relatives here in Redding and I am sure that was about 7 or 8 years ago. I believe it was shut down by the city for some reason. It was at the top of the Miracle Mile and was a pretty rowdy place. It was like one of those old time roadhouses or saloons. I also remember parking in the mud so the more I think it about it, it was probably shutdown for building code violations. Last time I was there I remember the waitress walking around with those test tube shots in the fluorescent colors. Since Redding is behind times by about 7 years on everything, the timeline would be about right
I know it was completely demolished and as ironic as it may be, I believe there is a Realtor building there now, insurance or mortgage building possible too. I do know that the ex-wife of the old owner is a waitress at the Shack in downtown.

Thanks, Ninershark
I suspected as much. I was contracting in the Redding area during the 60's and drove 'Miracle Mile' regularly. The area needed a face lift even then.
It is rather disappointing to return to an area and find everything either gone or turned into something unrecognizable. Spent many an after work stop at the Riggers Club and ate many a great steak at the Paul Bunyan. The list goes on...............
Hope to be through your great town during last part of May. Gotta see the Sundial Bridge in person. It was not completed when were there last.
Again, thanks

Docs sky bar... when i moved to redding in the late 80's it still stood, near the quality plus carwash location now. i think a state farm insurance office is built on the spot. it had degraded to a "meat market" of sorts and i was always told DON'T go to Docs!!!!!!!
