New to Redding...

Hi there!  My husband and I just moved here from a suburb of Detroit, MI.  Been here 2 months and haven't really met anyone except our neighbors.  They're all very nice, but not in our age group.  We have a 10 month old boy and are restricted a bit on night life, but would like to meet some people.  We're both around 30 and like outdoor stuff, indoor stuff, whatever...we're not picky at this point!  Just going to the grocery store is a big thing smile  We work remotely for our company based in MI, so we can't even socialize at an office.  If anyone has any good ideas on stuff to do, we're willing to participate! smile  thanks!

Heat? What heat?  Are you in heat niner?

Welcome to Redding phaedra smile

You can check out the races at the fairgrounds for some good ole redneck fun.

Or get your husband to take you out to dinner, getcha half drunk then go for a late night stroll across Reddings coolest attraction since the big flag, sundial bridge.

Re: New to Redding...

Well, we have a little family here, but not much.  Mostly to get away from the mess that Michigan is spreading.  With all the Ford/GM layoffs, the market has been terrible, crime is going up and the neighborhoods have gone way down.  Most of our friends are moving further west in the state or north to avoid it, but frankly, I don't think it'll ever end.  So, with the new baby in tow, we decided to move to a smaller town.  We really like it so far, except not knowing many people.  Thanks for the suggestions!
