Server Slowdown

The forum and all the other sites have been mighty slow lately. I'm moving to a new server here in the next few days, so that stuff should be fixed.

Re: Server Slowdown

I should have the switch made by Thursday. Long tedious process moving 18 sites, and changing stuff in my config files.

Re: Server Slowdown

NO REST FOR THE WICKED, BANDIT!!!

Seriously, it would be interesting to know if you could actually make any money with one of these forums.  Does the advertising pay anything? If so, is what they pay based on the number of hits to the site? In other words... what would be an ideal scenario for you with this (or any) forum? What would make all your work worthwhile?

Maybe we can help.

Re: Server Slowdown

I've heard of some forums making money, the real value is more indirect though.

I use it to pump links out to my sites and client sites, networking etc, so it is very much worth my while.

Thanks, it is loading much faster now.  Appreciate all the work you put into it.

Re: Server Slowdown

It's still on the old server, looks like my host fixed whatever the problem was. Still making the switch though. But since it is working, I'm taking my time moving all of my sites over, and getting them working perfectly before I change nameservers.
