Hartnell Transmissions
Shameless plug for them guys-
Last October we had our transmission replaced. Everything worked fine til last month when the clunking and slamming noises started. Took the van back to Hartnell Transmissions and they were more than willing to say it was probably something they did. Replaced the drive axle TWICE and didn't flinch. Stand behind their work? YES

I've heard they're great also.
FYI: For everything else other than transmission work, I go to Pine Street Auto (241-3594). They also stand by their work and also worked within my budget! You can't be that when times are tough and you need your car repaired!
