People of Progress needs your help to help others
Each year. People of Progress Resource Center and Food Bank serves 95% of everyone identified as homeless in the entire county as well as other low income persons who need assistance. Annually, POP provides 16,000 people with food for 211,000 meals, 8,000 clothing items, 1,200 voice mail boxes, 1,800 RABA one-ride passes, etc., and most importantly, information, casework and strategies to help people move forward.
The beginning of winter is when POP is extremely low on blankets, sleeping bags, and umbrellas to give to clients. The Drive Thru Drive begins now and continues throughout the winter. Items also needed for clients are socks and coats. Donations to the POP Super Thrift Store are also appreciated.
People of Progress is celebrating their 35th year helping the community help their own community.
Donations received Monday through Saturday 9:30 to 3:3 0

Yeah! I can see it now. Two hungry homeless guys meet under a bridge on a cold rainy night and one stikes a match in effort to warm his hands and illuminates a Niner patch on the other guys coat and says, "Whoa there, bud... what in the hell's goin' on here?!"
"What?!" says the other guy.
"That ain't no Niner patch you got on that coat there is it?!"

And then the other guy goes to grab the match, fumbles it and the other guys says, "Whoa, where'd ya get the Raider coat?"
